Day 4 of 31 days of Halloween/Horror

I chose Fright Night.  The 2011 version because I sadly don’t own the 1985 version. However, I was excited to see that the 1985 version is available for free on DirectTv On Demand!  Problem is… my wifi is so incredibly slow when it works with my DirecTV… I think it really needs to be hardwired but there is simply no easy pretty way to do that since my only telephone jack is in the closet in the middle of the living room.

Welcome to Fright Night.  I thought they did a great job with the remake of the movie, partly because I adore Anton Yelchin.  I first noticed him in the House of D and I’ve loved everything he’s done since.  I also think they did a good job keeping the same awesome movie but updating it a little from the 80’s.  The extreme computerized vampires and such weren’t nearly as overdone as they could have – I wish Horror movies didn’t use CGI at all.  Look at the original Nightmare on Elm Streets throughout the 80’s – They had SO many cool effects without any or very little added in by computers.

and that’s about all I have to say about that… I’ll watch the 1985 later. Maybe update this then.
