I, like everyone else, was hit by the news that Robin Williams had passed away of an apparent suicide at 63. Just reading the news articles brought tears to my eyes and I just kept thinking of all the amazing movies and television he was in and how happy they all made me… and how incredibly sad I am now. Twitter went crazy with everyone being stunned and disheartened by the news and I don’t think there is a soul alive who isn’t right now.
I admit, I wasn’t watching “The Crazy Ones” as I’m just not a fan of Sarah Michelle Geller and it just lacked something to keep me interested. But were so many other things that Robin Williams did that was so amazing my mind is a blur of all the movies I want to watch and yet will now be so sad to watch because I can’t believe he’s gone… and I’m so heart broken for his family.
For my first Media Monday… in honor of Robin Williams… here is a list of some of my favorites:
- Mork and Mindy
- Goooood Morning, Vietnam
- Dead Poets Society
- FernGully: The Last Rainforest
- Mrs. Doubtfire
- The Bird Cage
- Patch Adams
- Bicentennial Man
- Death to Smoochy
- House of D
If, for some insane reason, you have not seen any of these movies…. Watch them. Watch them now.
Robin Williams brought such Joy to so many people with all that he did. He will definitely forever and always be missed.
